I’ve been living in Latin America for almost two years now. And during that time I’ve become fluent in Spanish.
Although it wasn’t easy, it was worth the trouble. I’m glad I invested time and energy into learning it.
In my opinion, every well-rounded man should master at least one foreign language.
And Spanish is a good place to start…
7 Reasons To Learn Spanish
There are over 6,000 languages spoken in the world.
So why Spanish?
For English-speakers, Spanish is probably the simplest new language to learn.
So that makes it perfect for someone who wants to learn a second (or third) tongue in a reasonable amount of time.
2) It’s Widely Used
After English, Spanish is the most useful language a man can learn.
Spanish is the second most widely spoken language on Earth (second only to Mandarin Chinese). It’s spoken by over 400 million people world-wide.

3) It Makes Travel Fun
I learned this from experience.
It’s much more fun to travel in a foreign country when you can communicate with the locals!
4) You’ll Get More Respect
People will treat you with more respect when you speak their language.
In Latin America, Spanish-speakers simply get treated better.
5) Better-Quality Latinas
If hooking up with high-quality Latinas is your goal, then learning Spanish is a must.
Sure you can probably get sex from bi-lingual Latinas without Spanish; if your game is strong.
But the quality will be lower than if you did speak their language!
6) Build A Better Social Life
If having a social life is important to you, than Spanish is a must in Latin America.
Social circles will open for you once you’re proficient.
7) Way Less Stress
It’s stressful living in a foreign county when you can’t speak their language.
Learn their lingo, and your stress levels will drop big time.
7 Ways To Learn Spanish
So what’s the best way to learn Spanish (or any other foreign language?)
Here’s how I did it…
1) Total Immersion
If you’re serious, total immersion is the best way to get fluent. Chose a Spanish-speaking land, and then stay there for a while.
All that travel really improved my Spanish since I used it every day.
2) Pimsleur Audio Courses
Immersion is important, but you gotta have the basics down first.
Pimsleur Audio Courses are a great tool for becoming conversationally fluent in any language. I completed all six levels of the Spanish-language version, and I credit the program for building my skills.
Pimsleur is worth every penny – get it here.
3) Spanish-Speaking Girlfriends
The best tutor a man can have is a Spanish-speaking girlfriend who speaks zero English.
The Catch-22? You gotta know enough Spanish to seduce her and make her your girl!
But once she is, you’ll find that communicating with her will rapidly improve your language skills.
Texting with a Spanish speaker is a good way to learn their lingo.
And it’s easier than talking in life, because you can run your responses or their texts through Google Translate when you get stuck.
Texting is good way to practice writing Spanish and it’s also a great way to learn Spanish slang.
Once you’ve got the basics down, the next step is reading in Spanish.
I like reading Spanish newspapers. With the news, it’s usually easy to get the gist of what they’re saying, even if you don’t understand everything.
Another good option is reading books in Spanish.
6) Watching Spanish Movies & TV
Watching television and movies in Spanish is another good immersion technique.
I like to turn on Spanish subtitles and use Spanish audio when watching shows.
That way I can listen and read at the same time.
7) ‘Street Tutors’
Instead of hiring a tutor, use free ‘street tutors’ instead.
Be aggressive in your conversation making; don’t be afraid to use strangers to improve your skills.
So that’s it – that’s how I learned Spanish.
Sure, you could use other methods. Maybe add tutors or class-room learning or even language exchanges.
But the methods I’ve described worked for me.
Use them to become fluent in Spanish or any other new language.
