I’ve got a little sister.
She’s just a few years younger than me.
So we’ve been close since we were little.
Of course, having her around was good for me back then. It’s nice having a sibling when you’re a kid, you know? They’re like a built-in friend, someone to share your childhood with.
But our relationship helped me in other ways, too, later in life. She was good for my social development, you see.
Yes, having a sister helped my game!
What did my little sister teach me about women?
But here are the most important:
Sis tested my patience daily when we were kids. She didn’t mean to be annoying, but she was.
And since I couldn’t get away from her? I learned to deal with it.
I just figured that’s how it was with girls. You needed patience when dealing with them.
I wasn’t wrong.
Monk-like patience is crucial for succeeding with women.
The Art of Teasing
Any boy with a sister knows the truth:
Sisters are great for teasing!
I used to tease my sister all the time, constantly pushing her buttons.
But I wasn’t a mean kid. Wasn’t a bully. So I rarely pushed her too far.
Knowing how to tease girls is probably one of the most important game skills a man can learn.
This goes hand in hand with teasing.
When you have sister you learn to play with her. And you don’t take her too seriously.
That same playful attitude is key when dealing with girls later in life. A light-hearted attitude goes a long way.
This is especially true during relationships.
Sure, verbal playfulness is important. But you can also make it physical, even as an adult.
Wrestle with your woman, chase her around the house, play-fight with her, etc.
Pretending To Listen
I remember it clearly:
My 2-year-old sister in the bunk bed above me. Still learning to speak, barely forming coherent sentences. And droning on for hours on end.
Yeah, I learned to tune her out quick! But at the same time, she’d get real mad if she saw I wasn’t paying attention.
So I learned a valuable skill:
Pretending to listen intently, while actually thinking about something else.
The trick is to mostly tune her out while you daydream. But look at her in the face while you do it. Occasionally listen to her and then ask questions based on her last few sentences. Nod a lot. Once in a while, repeat the last sentence she just said, as a question. She’ll start talking again, and you can safely tune her out again for a few minutes.
Men with limited female contact tend to put them on pedestals.
If you have little sister, this is much less likely. After living with a girl your whole life, you realize just how gross and dirty they can be.
Even the pretty ones.
Sure, women are worthy of love and respect (some of them).
But they’re just normal humans, like you and me. Not worthy of being put on a pedestal.
Managing Female Anger
My sister and I usually got along – we rarely fought for real.
But when we did?
It was brutal.
So I learned early on – there are two ways for dealing with an angry, violent woman:
- Separate Yourself
- Use Violence
I was always bigger and stronger than her – so using violence worked. But I didn’t like hitting my sister!
I preferred to get away from her; which usually meant locking myself in a bedroom while she raged.
Same rules apply as an adult.
The best way to deal with a furious woman? Offer her one chance to calm down and act civilized.
If she refuses?
Leave, get away, remove yourself from the situation. Or kick her out for a while.
Only let her return once she’s ready to behave.
If you’ve got a sister, then you probably know most of this stuff!
But even if you don’t, you can still benefit from “Sister Game.”
