You’ve heard about Modafinil. It’s a wonder drug, they say. Like NZT-48 from the movie Limitless. But is that true? Is Modafinil as amazing as everyone says it is? Well, I’ve been using it for a while. And yes, it has some great qualities. But there are downsides too. Let’s take a closer look.
What is Modafinil?
It was originally a sleep suppressant developed to combat narcolepsy. But today it’s used as a nootropic – a work drug.
Modafinil focuses your mind like a laser. And it greatly improves mental endurance. You can efficiently power through almost any task when you’re on it. Basically it helps you work better, harder, and longer. In some people it suppresses the urge to eat, drink, and even use the bathroom.
How Do You Take It?
Modafinil is taken orally – it’s a pill. It’s hard to get in the United States. But in Latin America Modafinilo is legal without a prescription and available over the counter at drug stores and pharmacies. The pills look different depending on which country you’re in…
In Colombia it’s called Vigia. When I was in Medellín fourteen 200 mg pills cost $93,000 Colombian Pesos, or about $29 US Dollars.
In Mexico it’s called Modiodal. Fourteen 200 mg pills cost $655 Mexican Pesos in Mexico City, about $35 US Dollars.
So how much should you take? At first I took just one pill at a time. So just 200 milligrams (mg) per day. I barely felt it. So I upped the dose to 400 mg per day. I felt that. And that’s the dose I still use today.
But what about more than that? Well, one time I took 600 mg at once. You know, just to try it out. Big mistake – way too much! I was jittery and anxious and had trouble focusing. It felt like a terrible caffeine overdose.
So stick with 200 mg to 400 mg per day max!
This is an all-day drug. So it’s best to take it early – around 7 or 8 in the morning. If you take it too late it’ll give you insomnia. I like to take all the pills at once. It’s stronger that way. But you can also stagger them. For example take one pill early in the morning and the other at noon. But only stagger the dose if you don’t have to go to bed early!
Modafinil is a powerful drug. Here are the positive effects I experienced:
This is the primary benefit. Modafinil massively improves focus. You’ll find yourself completely ‘drawn in’ to whatever task is in front of you. It’s like extreme tunnel vision. On Modafinil, once you’re locked into something, you’re not easily distracted by anything else. But you gotta manage that focus carefully! If you don’t, you’ll find it’s easy to get sucked into minutia and waste time on irrelevant details.
Mental Endurance & Clarity
I don’t think Modafinil makes you smarter. It won’t raise your IQ like in Limitless. But it definitely improves mental endurance. It helps you work harder, for longer periods of time. It also improves mental clarity – it cuts through brain fog. On Modafinil, you’ll simply be able to think more clearly.
Modafinil and physical training go very well together. I love doing my bodyweight training on it! No, the drug won’t make your body any stronger. But it will give you a noticeable mental edge. Once you start a workout while you’re on Modafinil? You’re gonna give it 100%, it’s gonna be intense, and you’re not gonna quit until it’s done.
Modafinil improves sex. No, it won’t make you last longer. And it won’t make your cock bigger. Again, it’s more of a mental thing. The focus translates into powerful sex sessions. Once you start fucking on Modafinil, you’ll be totally focused on the task at hand. And she’ll notice.
Improved Pick Up
Modafinil will improve your day game. The focus and aggression you’ll feel on the drug will override your natural approach anxiety and your fear of rejection. And that is extremely useful during cold approach. I was on Modafinil when I picked up the Uruguayan model…
Foreign Language Skills
Modafinil will enhance your ability to speak a foreign language. It’s not a magic pill, it won’t teach you the lingo in a day! But if you’ve already got some skill in a foreign language? The drug helps a lot. It’s like it opens pathways in your brain – making it easier to recall and speak a new language.
Are there any downsides to using Modafinil? Yes, I did experience a few:
Upset Stomach & Diarrhea
Modafinil gave me an upset stomach and diarrhea when I started using it. I thought I’d have to quit, since it seemed like my body wouldn’t take it. But then I started eating a big breakfast in the morning along with my pills. This stopped the stomach pain. And the diarrhea went away too. So if you find it hurting your stomach, mix it with food. Or lower the dose.
My face and jaw muscles get tense when I take the drug. This isn’t normal for me – I don’t usually clench my jaw or grind my teeth. But on Modafinil, if I don’t pay attention, I’ll do both those things.
The drug can make you impatient. And if you’re a high-strung or low-patience guy? Modafinil will enhance those traits. Any interruptions while your working can make you feel irrationally angry – simply because it’s slowing you down.
Modafinil can cause nasty headaches. This is usually from dehydration – going all day without water. It’s not causes by the drug itself. So drink water throughout the day or your head will start to throb.
Modafinil is worth using – the good outweighs the bad.
Try it for yourself and you’ll see what I mean.
